Saturday Update on Brenda

Hello Friends,
I've just heard from Brenda. She's still at UNC Hospital and probably will not be released until at least tomorrow (Sunday). She is doing well. The reason they are keeping her a little longer than expected is due to the need for her to learn how to care for the wound. Since she doesn't have a consistent health care provider at home, it is expected that she alone will be changing her own dressing and caring for the wound. This will take a few more days of training, apparently. In the meantime, she said she is up and around and sounded to be in reasonably ok spirits, though expressed how the reality of her having cancer is now sinking in. She said she is very tired and even the smallest tasks (like showering) are exhausting.

I will be working on updating and modifying the calendar later today so that tasks needed and timing are more apparent.
